TAKSİM'İN İKİ KUBBESİ

  Taksim’in iki kubbesi Geçtiğimiz senelerde pandemi sebebiyle Taksim Meydanı’na gelemeyen istanbulluyu iki sürpriz bekliyor. Bunlardan biri meydanın boğaz tarafındaki yenilenen Atatürk Kültür Merkezi Binası (AKM), diğeri de tam karşısında yer alan ve yapımı tamamlanmak üzere olan yeni Taksim Camisi. İki yapının birlikteliği Türkiye’nin doğu ile batı arasında gidip gelen seyyah kimliğini yansıtıyor. Taksim Camisi, kütlesindeki simetri ve meydana yönelen vücudu ile kentsel olarak meydana referans veren, tarihi su taksim binasının arkasında yükselen, ince minareleri ve parçalı kubbeleri ile son dönem benzer yapılarına bakıldığında mütevazi denebilecek bir yapı. Diğer yapı ise modern mimari akımın önemli temsilcilerinden, meydana adeta bir pencere gibi açılan AKM binası ve içerisinde parlayan yeni kızıl bir kubbe. Exhibiton in Fatsa

We had the District Governor , the Minister of Culture of the City of Ordu, and the Deputy Secretary of the Mayor of Fatsa for the opening of my exhibition in Ordu/Fatsa. I've never had so many bureaucrats in any of my vernissages . Once we had the mayor of Essen and the minister of Culture of Germany for the opening of the group exhibition of the Ruhr Contemporary Art Festival , but I wasn't the initial reason why they were there. This time, it was all about my work. The opening night turned out to be a real cultural event in Fatsa. Although, I was most touched by the visit of the students and their dedicated teacher from a local state school Yalıköy İlköğretim Okulu . These young visitors were exactly the reason why i was so enthusiastic about having this exhibition there. here is a video from the vernisage:

Upcoming Show

...on the road again... After almost 10 years, I am having my first solo exhibition in Turkey . The exhibition will be in a small city by the Black Sea called Ordu . It makes me feel very excited to reach to an audience which is different from the big city people whom can get access to the contemporary art in every second corner. The exhibition will start on Friday, the 1st of November and will be open to visit every day until the 3rd of December. Upcoming Show: Contemporary Art Ruhr 2011

I am very glad joining the prestigious art show C.A.R.2011 for the second time. My work titled; Zwenkauer See #01, a photograph i have taken in 2009 in Sachsen Germany, will be exhibited in Unesco heritage buildings of Zollverein Art District, within the Talents section of the show. the exhibition will take place in 28-30 October 2011. Impressions from KuboShow

Doing art is sharing something very private of yours with other people. That’s why hanging my photography works on the walls of fairs/galleries making me feel like looking for new friends. And this is above all one the most satisfying outcome of such gatherings. It was a similar experience in KuboShow2010. We had a great weekend in the historical atmosphere of Flottmann-Hallen in Herne.

Hi there, I am very excited joinning the Art Fair KuboShow 23-24th of October 2010 in Herne, Germany. This will be the second time i join an event within the framework of RUHR2010 Cultural Capital of Europe. I will be one of the only two invited Photographers between 100 artists.
